Default Best setup for a 1976 corona drift pig

Me and a mate acquired a 1976 4 door corona, he wants to turn it into drift pig. He want to put another engine, what would be the best solution? Oh and further down the track the suspension will need to be sorted, any ideas for that? Not sure on budget yet just looking at ideas first

    Cheers,
    Callum

    Suspension before engine.

76 Corona (RT104?) is not the most ideal base for a drift hack.

Springs and shocks for the front. Re-set / stiffer leaves for the rear along with some appropriate shocks.. 32/36 carby, exhaust and a new clutch should be a good first step.

'Cheap' engine conversions are limited. 18R-G will be a simple bolt in, but they are not easy to find these days as they are becoming collectors item, nor are they cheap. And getting power out of them that would even compare to a modern engine requires a sizable bank account and a wealth of knowledge.

If it's an MX13 (6cyl) corona, then same as above applies in getting the suspension sorted first, in a very similar manner. You may have more luck with an engine conversion as most M series engines will be adaptable.
The 18R-G. The GOOD 2 Litre Tractor motor.
