Red face Vein Pressure Converter wiring WTF??

Ok guys so i have a 1ggte VPC and a TV-04 wiring harness.

Does anyone know how the harness is meant to be wired? can take pictures of what it looks like if needed.

I hear your meant to put some resistors in??

I found this site but not for 1g, is it the same though?? http://www.alltrac.net/tuning/ST165VPC.html

    Any help will be appreciated

    Thanks Seb

Yea gets rid of afm, if i had the money for stand alone i would lol.

i just want to see how this goes (got it for free) if it works and can tune it a bit il be happy, then later go stand alone.

and while you put the pics up, include the letters that Gu11ty missed while typing his post?

The air temp mod referred to in the alltrac link is about making the ECU think the incoming air-temp is 68 degrees F (about 20 degrees C). This makes the ECU run the motor rich as it thinks the air is cooler (and thus more dense) and possibly less retard on boost.

This will mostly add to the black crud already fowling the spark plugs (boosted toyota motors always run conservatively rich on boost) and fills the exhaust with extra carbon soot.

    Ok so everythihng..

And harness but blue wire isnt attached anymore and i know what the brown wire does.

number 2 is red with no dots, no trace. it is connected to a white wire, brown dots, black trace

number 3 is a blue wire with brown dots and a red trace, its tapped into a red wire with black dots, no trace.

    so..........

what the hell is number 2 supposed to do, or does it just hang there cut?

is number 3 supposed to be like that? the blue wires were originally seperated, i colour matched them figuring they are supposed to be like that? otherwise they just hang there... it seems logical that they were once connected

Seb, save for a aftermarket mate. The VPC even if you get it working (doubtful) is a poor substitute. It has a very small tuning resolution and good luck trying to get someone to tune it, let alone do it on a budget in canberra!

Im 100% sure that the mines ecu you have and a fuel computer ala safc2 would be better than the VPC and 1million times easier to install.
