Default 2JZ into HQ-WB Holden Mounts?

    Hey guys,

Just wondering if anyone has got any pics, dimensions or actual mounts to slot in a 2JZ into a HQ-WB holden corssmember? Just toying with engine conversion ideas to give the ol beast some modern day power.

I think this is an awesome idea.

Don't think there are any off the shelf solutions. You will have to DIY them.

There are crossmembers to suit the toyota gearbox though, so you could bolt the box up and see where the engine wants to sit. and hopefully just make engine mounts to suit.

castle main rod shop do kits for

    ls1 ls2 ls3 1uz and i belive RB30 but no 1j

may as well get a kit and bolt in any of them engines and with left over money from not going totaly custom spend on mods

i put a 1j in a torana and just modified a set of diesel hilux mounts on 2" rhs stubs welded onto the crossmember ,worked a treat . shitloads more room in hq-wb engine bays with a six fitted. great conversion good luck.

Thanks guys. I dont think that the current engine will go kaput any time soon but if it does go or i pull it off the road for another make over a 2J will definatly be on the cards. weather it happens or not is down to money money money.

And if it were to happen i wouldnt waste time with a 2JZ-GE. just GTE the thing.

EDIT: would anyone be able to get me in touch with this TRD-KINGSWOOD? I keep getting knocked back on registering with PF.com due to an email address and cant get in contact with a mod.

If anyone could possibly forward my email address to him that would be great. [email protected]

I can make the mounts myself no worries. I like doing things a bit left of field. so while there are a few people that have done the above swaps. id rather the 2J and put the extra work in just to know i did it and its a bit different.
