    Talking what turbo to fit???

Gday, i have just shat the huffer in a mr2 sw20 ct26 split pulse and weighing up some options:
1:rebuild this one with biger exhaust wheel-1650 (is this cheap?)
2:fit after market onto existing manifold?
    3:what flange is the mr2?
    All help will be excellent.

1: Waste of money in my opinion
2: You'll need an adaptor plate as no aftermarket turbo's use the CT26 flange. You'll also need new oil lines, water lines, dump pipe and intake
    3: It's the CT26 split pulse flange

In the US there are several companies making MR2 turbo kits using an adaptor to fit the turbo up to the stock manifold. The other option is to use a different manifold, maybe even buy one of those whoflungdung manifolds from china/ebay and weld on the correct flange for the turbo you want to use.

If you're looking for the best value upgrade for a MR2 track down a CT20B. If you're after a good aftermarket turbo that matches the air flow characteristics of a stockish 3S then I'd say go for a GT2860/GT28RS.

Dont you hate that, it has already got an xs power manifold and dump pipe.
Oh and on that note dont buy a XS power manifold they did not weld in a place where
it is very hard to get to, had to pull off again to weld correctly gggggggrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.
    CT 26's are shiat then?
    Thanks for your help.

Well CT26's aren't the worst turbo int the world but I sure as hell wouldn't pay money for one to put it on an MR2.

If you've got an aftermarket manifold then cutting off the current flange and welding on a new one for a better turbo wouldn't be too much hassle.

If you're after a bolt on go for a CT20B. Otherwise it's probably going to cost $2500-$3000 to get something like a GT2860 on there.
