the 2j will have no trouble lugging around 1800kgs - that first turbo creates a very decent whack of torque low down in the rev range. The problem will come if you want to ditch the sequential system and go big single.

If your initial goal is 200rwkw, I'd keep the v8 and do a mild amount of work to it, it'll get you in the vicinity. Also work out what your end-goal power is, so you can work out what gbox to use. a w58 will be fine if you just want the 1uz @ 200rwkw, but if you go higher it's time to be thinking about a stronger box (= more $$$)

Honestly your best bet is to modify your existing engine; the only reason you should do a conversion on a car is if the engine that's in there isn't a good performance base. I can't see the point in spending $10k to install an engine that is a whole litre and two cylinders smaller. I am a huge 2JZ fan but I just don't see the merit in this conversion

You're better off spending the same $10k on a set of pistons, turbo, ecu, etc for your existing motor and you'll make gobs of torque and double the power of an effectively stock 2JZ.

yeah after reading about it seems like my plans 4 a celsior seems like 2 much hassle
and better of keeping the celsior as cruiser and maybe getting a 2nd car for speed

as for manual conversion does anyone have a rough idea how much its gonna be?
    thanks,

On the cheap, 2-2.5k and it will drive like shit and you'll lose most of the features of the car (abs, traction control, etc).

Properly, more like 5k and you'll keep everything.

Don't waste your money converting to manual.

Spend the money buying a HVT1900 bolt on s/c kit and a decent ecu.
