Wurth have these things called pin wheels, or candy wheels or what ever they're called, they can do damage to your paint if u push too hard
so i've pulled off the door strips on my AE82, and the rubber sticky strips that stick them on are on there, and are a bitch to get off
i've searched the old forum, people seem to have recommended wax and grease remover, which i have none of, and eucalyptus oil, which is taking way too long
ive also tried a non-scratch-non-stick-frying-pan scouring pad after applying eucalyptus oil, which isn't scratchy enough to remove it with any form of speed. in fact, my fingernail (after eucalyptus oil again) was quicker, but again, very slow
then there are the suggestions to use a "caramel wheel" which i don't have...
both metho and turps leave red marks (my car is red) on the applying towel i was using
so, any other suggestions?

I'd say just to get, and try some wax and grease remover! It's good for that kind of thing.
is anyone else seeing an obvious solution here????Originally Posted by toaster

I did it with petrol and a toothbrush once. Worked ok. Be careful of the paint though - although it didn't damage my paint.
