Hhhmmm drive up it rained most of the way and cleared around Picton, then it all turned crapola at WSID then 3 hours back home in rain varying from a light sprinkle to incredible downpours with strong winds.

Note to self: buy new windscreen wiper arms.

Was good to catch up, just a pity I never got to run my 6 second pass

I won't be heading back to WSID until the Toyfest one in October.


Another thing that annoyed me beside the rain was that the scrutineers WERE letting people with the old AS1698 standard helmets run, one of the Canberra guys got let through with his and the scrutineer said "yeah that helmet is still fine for these events and your sort of car...."

WTF? No other correspondence or info on the website says it's different rules for street meets and certain "sorts" of cars

Mate I felt so bad for you guys I went the long way home, still took me 15mins.

From what I gathered it's only a problem for "fast" cars like phils and ummm phils that need to worry about safety.

At least your trip wasn't a total loss Shane you did hear mine on the limiter a couple of times. I'm sure that's what you always dreamed of
