Greg, borrow someones helmet with the snell sticker (i.e. Me) to get through scrutineering, then race with your regular helmet, in the end, they are both going to offer the same level of safety...

Plus if the car isnt going 11s or faster, they probbaly wont be to anal about it, as others have said in the helmet thread...

I think there's been a bit of confusion about the dedicated lane, etc.

This is an OPEN event. They limit cars to 200 (ish).

So you do not have to be in the special 20 list to enter, just come along early enough so that you're in before the 200.

I just hope I can leave work early enough to get there myself to compete.

We'll bring my car up by the look of things, I'm going to head out shortly and try and find a helmet for this.

The car is running well and work is giving me the shits so half a day off on Wednesday will be good. I'll know for sure this evening whether we can make it.
