celsior air bags into mx83?

hey guys,

i like the idea of air bags (factory type to raise and lower car at the push of a button). im not talking about "hydroz" to get that shit hoppin.

i have no idea what type of suspension is under a celsior. but it maybe a relatively cheap way of putting airbags in?

they would also be handy for towing, just push a button for more air in the rear. the car is a daily/cruiser made 90% for comfort.

if someone has done something similar that would be handy if you could shed some light.

mx83's have macpherson fronts, multilink rear
ucf11's have multilink front and rear i think

so no go

i think soarer is multilink front too, maybe check anyway see if its macpherson? might be an option i dunno

nope zz30 soarer is multi link front too.

i wonder if the air back could be made to replace the spring in the front struts and the rear ucf11 struts should go close to fitting strait in?

not sure, ive only really peeked at mine so i dunno how theyre made, but it looks like theyre quite a sealed unit. not like some aftermarket styles with the bag sorta independent of whatever its bolted to (sorta a mock strut i spose)

crowns maybe might be macpherson front? i dont expect em to bolt in but if theyre at least similar, you might have something to work with

If you look deep into the toyota manuals or search the internet you will find some japanese MX83s had air suspension the same as the lexus 400. Do they have wreckers in japan?

You can get bags which work correctly instead of hopping.

Would be just as expensive aftermarket as it would be tring to fit ex-toyota stuff.

Have you got something you can post up to prove that as my GX81 has TEMS but all that gives is a normal or sport option that appears to change the damping rates only (havent found any documentation or sales catalogues to prove this - but even if i do they will be in Japanese so i wont be able to read them).

From what i can find out, a lot of different models have TEMS but they seem to be able to be grouped into height and/or damping adjustibility and i know mine has nothing to do with height.

had a search on yahoo, nothing airbag related for mx83 or jzx81..
