Default 18rgeu with quad throttle body

Just curious has anyone done this? What power gains would you see with this? I think 4 tubes sticking out of an 18rg would look neat

    Hi,

I was going to do this, but the power is around 170hp.. as opposed to 140-ish. Costs more than doing a turbo conversion, for less power. But, it would sound awesome.

twin side draught carbies will suffice then...

It's been done before, the Top Secret RA25 did it, the Chickadee RA40 did it... I've heard a few people suggest, that a well tuned carby setup will give you as much power as a decent EFI setup, but the EFI has other benefits...

yeah it would sound cool.. better than a psstt don't you think river? lol. I'm not really into turbo so i think throttle bodies would be a cool alternative.

    Hi,

    Oh yeah, for sure.

I'm just going the turbo for more power and it is cheaper than the quad TBs.

I am not having the pshhht sound, as that is the car warriors cry to everyone that they are gay.

haha sure sure. you secretly want that sound under your bonnet. I doubt that i'll do any mods for some time aside from the usuals + maybe pistons/cams. I just bought the 18rgeu that supra1978 was selling. I was actually looking at the engine package you were bought a few months ago haha

    Hi,

That's a nice engine you bought. I can't wait to see what you do with it. Plenty of pics... and a sound clip too if you got the quad tbs!
