    You shouldn't be able to stop the other wheel spinning so easy..
    If you need T18 mounts I may be able to help.

    Why not just get some plate at the required depth and drill the bolt pattern for it to go between the block and the mount bracket? This will push the mount out horizontally and close the gap.
    Are you going to spill the beans on the R&P conversion??

    hey joel, i may have some lined up if it falls through i will give u a yell mate thanks mate, im hoping it will fit okay lol. i'm gona check out the diff when i get home tommorrow.

    hey jack something along the lines of that is on my mind if all else fails then custom mounts will come. sorry but i cant shine any light on the custom rack and pinion but your more than welcome to come over and check it out and see whats being used mate as i didnt convert it so i have no idea mate. i can send u pics i have taken if that helps man.

    All fixed now thanks everyone, cant wait to get it running now lol should see the road end of this month if not early next month hopefully just in time for end of session break = cruising .

    you're lucky to have a friend like me lol. you end up using the ta22 rubbers or the t18 ones?

    hey man, i know aye thanks mate , when its all fixed will cruise down to your hood mate havent been in ages, atm i drive dads vw beetle not all that exciting but its better to drive than the cressida hate automatic cars. it will be nice to drive the new ta22 and to see how it handles etc.
    my old man was playing around with it not sure what he ended up using but he said it was sweet, forgot to ask as i had to jet to uni, i will find out when he gets home from work and let you know.

    hey just for reference sake.. te71 corolla engine brackets are identical in proportion to the 3tgte ones (linked earlier in thread). the only difference being the two bolts for the turbo support bracket are missing. BUT there is a difference in the rubbers. 3tgte ones are thicker than the 2t.
