    Default TA22 Strut Insert Help

    Hey all

Have got some TA22 struts in my KE55 rolla...
Have been looking around for some shocks for it and have had not much luck.

My car is lowered about 2-3 inches in front. so will need shocks to suit.
I checked the books at supercheap (i know they shit lol) to see if i could cross reference any other shocks from other models but seems TA22 don't even get a mention :S

Can someone point me into the right place to get some, or even a part number and brand?

    Cheers
    Dan

www.celicaspares.com.au is selling some well priced AC Delco units for a '22.

Not sure what they are like though, but couldnt be too bad.

KYB probably have an Excel-G shock to suit, though it wont be listed on their website. Better to talk to a suspension specialist to get the details, and then go shopping for a price from there.

Obviously Shorter stroke if i can, I was going to give Dave a Call at AJPS. he seems to be able to get KYB shocks in for nearly anything.

    Cheers Guys

Ok after a quick look comparing part numbers on the pedders Website it seems the AE86 uses same front inserts as the TA22

    Sprinter AE86

    *
    Front Shocks
    8714 8714 Comfort Gas Cartridge
    8747 8747 Comfort Gas Cartridge

    Celica
    1971-1975 RA21, TA20 & TA22

    *
    Front Shocks
    8714 8714 Comfort Gas Cartridge

In saying that, there is heaps of different Inserts for the AE86, looks like that can widen my search. anyone confirm this? also it seems the KE70 uses same Insert

    Sedan, AE70, KE70 & KE71

    *
    Front Shocks
    8714 8714 Comfort Gas Cartridge

Im sure i read the KE70 strut diameter is smaller compared to the AE86... 2" for the 86, and smaller for the KE70
