Also if track is measured from the centre of the wheels, then irrespective of rim width that means track only changes if the offset changes?
Hey guys
I need a set of 14" steelies (4x114.3), surprisingly noone I've asked seems to have any lying around so I'll go to the wreckers on the weekend. I would preferably like something around 5" wide and around +20 offset but I guess it depends what's out there.
So, does anyone know what cars have 4x114.3" steelies in 14"? Also any info on the likely offsets would be GREAT.
Oh and as a side note is track measured from the centre of the wheels or the outsideof the wheels? I understood it was the centre of the wheels... can someone confirm pls?

Track is definitely measured from centre of rim to centre of rim as you describe, so yes, change of offest with same or different width wheels would change track. It's ideal to not change offset too much from what the axles (front or back) were originally designed for.

You should get some Datsun wheels, maybe from R30 Skyline or something.
In Toyota range:
RA23 / RA28 / RA40 Celica
Most Coronas
YR21 Tarago / YR30? Spacia
KR30 Townace?
Look at RA60 / SA63 Celica range also
Anyone got info on offset for corona/celica 14x6" steelies?

Celica/ Tarago wheels are 14" x 5-1/2" from memory
Corona wheels are 14" x 5"
SR40 Spacia wheels are 15"
I never worried about offset as a 5" rim will fit in any space.
Thanks mate.
Trying to finish off my application for the dept. of transport just need me some offsets haha.

I think most Toyota 5.5" wide rims are +27 and 5" rims are +32
I don't know of any 6" wide 4 stud Toyota steelies.

14x5" wheels will do fine for little 175s, factory rims were 12x4" and 155s!
I'm hanging for the weekend to get some and double check they fit. Amazing how such minor stuff can REALLY hold you up.
Until I get rims I can't paint them. Until they're painted I can't put tyres on them. Until I've got tyres on them I can't take off my other wheels to put drag radials on them. Until I've got drag radials on them I can't measure up my diff fitment. Until Iv'e measured that up I can't get it shortened. Until I've had it shortened I can't do the tailshaft or the caltracs... the list goes on!

i have a set of km36 liteace steelies, they are 4.5s but look good if your lucky you can pick up some chrome hubcaps for them like mine![]()
Pintara / r31 stockies would be good i reckon. Offsets may be a bit high i think theyre about +40?
yeah somewhere near there.
same goes for the older BMW wheels...dont know much about them, so not sure i what model shape...but older, lol. I had a set of wheels on my r31 that i pulled from a old beamer 3 series. had round headlights.
