    Default Accelerator pedal - RA28

    I wanted to change the accelerator pedal in my ra28 from a hinged type to a floating type. Does anyone know what other model pedals would fit in? Think i remember reading somewhere that a RA60 fits a RA23, im guessing this would be the same for the 28?

    where's it hinge off if it's not bolted to the floor? Or do you mean the pedal is bolted to the floor IE the plastic bit is cliped on to those two knobs on the floor.

    If that's what you mean, then a pedal out of an 82 ish sigma will also fit the bill very well.

    stradlater,

    If what you are wanting to do, that is remove the plastic foot pad part from the floor, then;

    Remove it, throw it away and then weld, or buy and fit an after market pedal pad.

    I simply welded onto the arm a piece of 3mm thick steel plate with a lip bent up on the RHS as a slip guard. You can cut it to any shape and size desired.

    Or, get fancy and use steel checker plate or glue sandpaper on for a non slip surface.

    Regards

    No no...
    the pivot on an ra23 one is still crappy.

    plus the top of the pedal is made for throttle linkage, not cable
    if you get that sigma one, it'll pivot at the right spot AND it has a REAL nifty cable connector.
