    Default Sigma LCA's into KE70

Hi all... if it's on here i can't find it!!!!
I searched google and the conversion threads...

How involoved is the sigma LCA conversion?
GE sigma? or GH sigma arms the go... i've seen both mentioned...

and what tie rods will i need, if any to deal with the widened track?

    All help appreciated.

there are 2 types of sigma lca, one with a press-in ball joint (like most toyotas) and one with a bolt on ball joint. the press-in ball joint one is the one you want. i think these came on the early sigmas with the round headlights. with tie rods i have heard ra40 tubes and outer ends are the go. here's a writeup for ma61s, but it should be pretty much the same deal; http://www.toymods.net/forums/showthread.php?t=14688

old school jap is right, early sigmas with press in ball joints and ra 40 tubes rod ends. Note ball joint is not a perfect fit, some people live with it (personally I wouldn't) but the tapper is wrong for the toyota sterring arm. For the price of the gear and all that work I would bend the sturt unless you are looking for greater track?

just take the steering arms to a machine shop and get them to machine the correct taper for the balljoint, not all machine shops want do to it tho.

Greater track, as well as the camber is indeed what i am after
This ball joint problem is why i never put these arms in my AE86, it's slightly wider at the base yes? and causes the stub axle to not seat fully? i'm after these for my ke70 which is a hunk of crap so if it clunks a bit and stuff it will just be lost in all the other clunks. as long as it's safe.... and plenty of people seem to do it.

a properly seated balljoint is safe.

ke70 and ae86 people generally arnt prone to do things properly so thats why plenty do it

Have you thought of puting in xt130 corona lca's. this will give you extra track, around 2degrees of camber and they bolt straight to ae86 struts/steering knuckles. swaybar link pins line up fine and you can use the standard e70 tie rods/rackend etc.

less work than fitting sigma arms, unless you want like 5-6degrees of camber and heaps of track..

heres the ae86 arm vs the xt130 before i put them in my ke70. (xt130 has the new red bushes)

i really want to be able to throw it into corners...
i had the ones in my sprinter lengthened 20mm, and it was pretty good...
those 'rona ones don't look much longer??

rona arms plus a strut bend maybe....

You only get 10mm, standard is 300mm and Corona is 310mm.
