    Default 20v coolant issue??!

    Hey

Just wondering if anyone could give me some information regarding a blacktop motor.
I was just checking the coolant (which i changed only recently with tectoloy gold) and its seems to have this dark green froth when i remove the cap. Even when the car is running it still semms to float to the top. It doesnt appear to have oil in the coolant but its hard to tell (possible headgasket damage?)

    Any help greatly appreciated
    Chris

Ok sorted out problem number one. Turns out the tectoly coolant mixed with some of the old stuff in the heater hoses (not flushed properly)
Now i have filled it up with proper toyota coolant.

Would there be any reason why the heater doesnt seem to be working?
i havent driven it yet, but ive left it idling for about ten minutes whilst letting bubbles out of the system.

    Any ideas

    Cheer for any help

are the heater hoses going back to the fire wall? i have seen quite a few cars that have them blocked off. due to leaks in the heater core they block off the line easier then having to fix it

Many cars at idle don't have enough flow to do much heating or a clog or a closed water valve or a closed vent.
Just drive it or get the rpm over 3000 for 20 seconds.

Why idling, to me it usually doesn't do any good at all especially with the cap off? If anything has been done to the cooling system, find any leaks as soon as possible by pressurizing it as soon as possible.

you should still get the heater working on idol as you should have the heater running when bleeding the cooling system
