    Default Brake component heights

I'm going to install a line locker in my car, and It occured to me that maybe brake components such as brake lines and distribution blocks and the likes need to be at a level BELOW the master reservoir.

In thinking about it, they probably don't need to be given it's a semi pressurized system, but I thought I might clarify it. Reason I ask is the line locker solenoid would be probably above or at least inline with the master reservoir.

    Any ideas?

I would say you would prob want to have it below master. However if its not possible the worst case senario is you will have to bleed the system at the highest point I.E the line locker!

Yup, it will work fine but bleeding it properly will be very difficult to do.

Yeah, its a pain to bleed systems with the bias valves above the master, even marginally. i even moved the sprinter bias valve down by an inch to get around this.
I would reccomend mounting linelockers/incar brake bias valves down around the handbrake sort of area, easy access and also easy to bleed.

How are you intending to run the line locker, to block off back brakes or lock on front brakes? This will obviously determine placement, personally I would block off the back brakes as this still gives you pedal control and the ability to quickly release the brakes if the car starts sledging etc.

well that's what I was thinking, but it appears that the standard if drag racing is to put the line locker on the front brakes to lock them on, as opposed to locking OFF the back brakes.

No Sh1t ! I never new that. I thought that you would want to lock off the back brakes so that you can still have control over the fronts too!
Plus its good for doing burnouts like this so you can creep the car along

Drag racing is different. You lock it on, heat the rear tyres, release and then roll down the strip. The level of control over clutch and accelerator are more important than brakes as generally you are in a water trough that enables the car to sit on the spot easily without sledging forward and you are going straight anyway. Burnouts are different, you have direction to worry about etc. and going straight into a concrete wall or water filled barrier is VERY BAD!!!!

EDITED TO ADD: By having on the front brakes, you don't find out at the end of the strip you forgot to turn it off......
