    Default MX23 brake master cylinder

Does anyone know what other cars have a brake master cylinder that will bolt up in an MX23? I have looked at the ATAP catalog and it doesn't list a part number for the master cylinder.

Probably anything of the era... mx32 cressida, mid-series crown (say 65/85).. also there'll probably be other toyota stuff that you can just swap over, just make sure you use something with an appropriate bore.

Also I've found that often different masters have different bolt patterns, so it's sometimes easier to swap the booster AND master at the same time as booster bolt patterns seem to be the same across more cars than the master cylinder... and even if not it's easier to adapt a different booster bolt pattern than it is to adapt a different master cylinder pattern!

Can also be a good opportunity to start on the path of a brake upgrade

Oh, and any reason you wouldn't get yours rebuilt and/or resleeved instead? Then you know it's right.

I need it done today and the old school masters are pretty poor so very little reason to bother getting one resleeved.

I figure I'll just get a Hilux master with the 4 bolt pattern and go from there.

    hi Josh
What bolt pattern are they mate?
If it is the same as the TA22 2 bolt, I've got a ST205 1" MC in excellent condition. Only reason I dont need it is I've gone to a Wilwood pedal box.

    It's a 4 bolt pattern 75mm L>R and 45mmTop>bottom.

If anyone has a suggestion for a master with that bolt pattern that would be great.

From memory I think the ST205 is a three bolt master.
