    dad also raised that point on the unis and everythign else regarding the steering.. no whavign to use 3-4x more force to turn the wheels when stationary.....

    havent had any problems that i know of in the last 3 years runnign without it though so fingers crossed

    Interstingly it's illegal to just loop the lines in NZ, must replace the whole rack.

    Really? that's a bugger as that was one of my plans on how to get around the lack of manual steering racks in my other car.

    Yeah, if powersteering is fitted it must be fully functional.

    I do not think that any rack should be able to accept lots of turning when the car is not moving [B[]or be easy when not moving.[/B] That is abuse, but it's what some/many/girrls think the car should be able to do, with out wear & damage. It isn't.
