Default RT104 corona clutch slave cylinder

Well this is the 3rd time i have killed a cylinder in my daily RT104 corona. The car is completely stock with its original 4 speed manual. Originally the slave cylinder busted a seal and leaked from the firewall down my clutch pedal and onto the inside of my car.....I went to u pull it and got another slave cylinder, fitted it, bled it, good as new. about 1,000kms later it broke again and did the same thing. So i tried one last wrecker job slave cylinder and fitted it and once again, bang, fluid everywhere on the floor.

So now i am stumped, what would be the next thing to do? Rip the whole pedal and cylinder out of another car because i have never known these models to have so many problems. Could there be something wrong with the arm of the clutch pedal that goes into the cylinder causing it to wear the seal down.

This car is always looked after and only driven daily to work and back and i have never given it a hard time which frustrates me as to why i keep busting cylinders, and no i dont ride the clutch lol

Any ideas/suggestions would be great, Cheers guys

Only thing i can think of is you are using the wrong fluid, or are just plain unlucky.

buy a NEW one or buy a proper seal kit and re-co the existing one. It's cheaper to buy the new kit, than a fucked one from a wrecker. How I know, i done it.........

And do you mean the Clutch Master cyl? (slave cyl is on g'box)

You mean your Clutch MASTER cylinder.

Buy a brand new one. Bench bleed it this time. The seals on a new master cyl will fuck out very quickly if you don't bench bleed it. Buying 2nd hand ones probably wasn't a good idea.

Use DOT 3 brake fluid as well. DOT4 can make some seals and rubbers swell up and distort.

Toyota is currently the only manufacturer to specify dot 3 fluid, all others specify dot 4 or 4.2. in Castrol branding it is called heavy duty brake fluid. Dot 4 is response dot 4 and super response dot 4 is dot 4.2.

Probably only find it at the castrol distributor or larger reseller in your area, most Autobarns/ supercheaps etc dont stock dot 3.
