HAHA its okNice to meet you too. Just works out that my sister goes out with Timbo, small world, can combine cars and family time in 1 weekend!! Works for me
Watching you guys on the track definatly makes the idea of competing very appealing, Mayb a few suspension and brake upgrades before next year and i'm mustard keen. And as for camping.. you are all camping next year.. just adds to the overall experience. Nature is beautiful.....and very noisy at 5am
Loved it.

It’s great to read so many enthusiastic comments!
I had an absolute ball and like most of us, can’t wait for next year. If it wasn’t for twenty28’s wedding I would been pushing for the 24hr.
Like Lauren I’m dead keen on competing next year- I want that Female trophy. I just hope I don’t have to smash my car and/or someone else’s to win it! However, I don’t think I could pass up the opportunity of order people around for a whole weekend! I hope I didn’t make any enemies – that darn competitive streak in me and the love of being a bossy boots can sometimes get the better of me.
A massive thank you to our volunteers and drivers, without your enthusiastic support and what I would call tireless efforts we would not have placed 19th. Not enough thanks can be expressed for the enormous commitment Emma put in as team timer; along with her noble helpers- it demanded high concentration and tolerance for that boiling sun. Trang and Georgia would beat any contestant on Master Chef. I don’t know how long it took them to fire up the BBQ on Saturday, but I do know their persistence was much appreciated!
I would like to enlighten all of those who are unaware of the effort both Eddie and Slim made to win Best Presented Team. Earlier in the year the 2 enrolled in an evening Graphic Design course to improve/gain knowledge and skill of a computer graphics program. This course enabled Ed and Slim to design and produce our fabulous stickers and shirts. They have set the bar high for presentation next year.
A special thanks to our interstate team member, Joel, and his co-pilot, Michael, for making the long journey to Winton. Any chance you want to swap cars? You’ve got to be tired of blue.
I would love to pass on more individual thank yous, but I’m afraid you and I would be here all night. So I will sum up – Thank you to everyone for your contributions, no matter the size, the weekend would not have been anywhere near as much fun and successful with out you!
Once again an infinite thank you and ..……Bring on next year!
P.S Thank you to the ‘man’ behind my camera, I was so happy to see some unexpected photos of ‘my’ team this afternoon.
It was a huge team effort - and it was reflected in our result the improvements made over last year. I have no doubt next year we will fo better yet again after the lessons we leant this year. Some of these include - careful nomination of lap times, better preparation in the months/weeks before, having the cars completely ready to go on the Saturday practice, Plus much more.
There were a few lowlights- like oscars car falling on it's ass while changing wheels, Darryle car getting smashed in the back, timbo sad motor, oscars sad clutch, Andrews f&$ked gearbox, but everyone survived unscathed.
Some of the highlights for me were - watching our team members cars fly around in their natural habitat, seeing joels immaculate 28 in the flesh, the result from the stickers, shirtd and caps, all the food, seeing Shamo filling up the club car topless as the regs stipulated you can't refuel in the clothes you race in, the obvious willingness of team members to help others, 10 guys lifting oscars car back onto a trolley jack.
Next year, our aim is to be in the top ten!
Thanks again to everyone for their help, if you have pics and videos please get them to me if they are not linked as I will be putting together a DVD.
Assumption is the mother of all f**kups...

You should race next year Alison.
Yea Alison, sell the 28 and i will come back to Melbourne just to slap you
LOL this is Loz, logged in as Tim oops.
ummm ^^^ that wasn't me. Loz, you're making me sound like some kinda abusive tyrant![]()
Tim, stop talking to yourself... ya skitzo.
The more i think about it, the more it pisses me off that Alana Ondarchie ( the driver that messed up Darryl's car) won the best female driver award.
I mean, if you run into a stationary vehicle on a clear, straight section of a race track, do you really deserve to be called the best woman driver?
I checked, there were other ladies out there racing. At least 4 others.

Simon.
1991 Toyota Cressida (JZX83).
1967 Morris Mini Deluxe (1330cc A+).
I know it sucks about darryls car, but I'm sure that the award is for the most consistant female driver.
Incidents aside, the commitee's hands would by tied, as she probably had the most consitant time.

Those classic celicas look awesome. Fade the colour a little and you could easily be convinced they were genuine 70's racecars.
Congrats on the results people. Sorry to hear of the dents and breakages.
