    Default moristech 'BLACK BOX M1' ecu.....reports/comments/advice?...for a 1jz...

    heya,

Had the jzx23 rona on the dyno at UNIGROUP ENGINEERING last night, and we got talking ecu upgrades for the 1jz,

recomends and autronic SM4.....OR if trying to do it on the cheaper side, the 'MORISTECH 'BLACK BOX M1' ecu,

they come in around $1300 and apparently VERY good value for money, he's stated that the black box does cold/hot idles perfectly, wired into the standard iscv, (which is a main concern for me as i hate shit idle...)

hes done 3 on various cars so far and have said the tunability is excellent,

the builder/programmer of the ecu's apparently used to work for haltech back in the 90's.....

im after advice on these, has anyone else heard/seen/used these before, as im considering it as an option atm,

heres the link to the specs on the comp, http://www.moristech.com.au/black-box-m1.asp

    cheers. Blake

Why don't just get Yavuz to give you the names and phone numbers of the people he's installed them for and ask them directly.

one of the cars is a 9sec rotary, i doubt reliability and fuel economy will be a concern

gave the owner (Daniel i think his name was...) a call this arvo, he seems pretty confidenet in his product and will give all the technical support needed..if need be,

do it JT .......i'll probably be going for one soon as it looks like a good option, and couldnt be worse then a microtech
