Check your globes all round first.
If you want a hand diagnosing i can bring the trust multimeter round.
Morning all,
The lights on my daily have just started playing up. When i indicate left with the lights off, my parkers flash as well, and when i have the lights on my left indicator is on solid.
I'm assuming that what i'm looking for here is a short, but i just wanted to check this isn't a symptom of something else, like a bad earth. Car is a VG commodore ute, if by some chance anyone has specific experience with this...
Thanks
Bardin

Only had a very quick look at parkers and indicators and they seemed fine.. But i'll pull out the tail lights and have a proper look later. Wouldn't a bung globe cause problems with tail / brake lights rather than my indicators though, they should be separate circuits?Originally Posted by cuzzo
I might grab that seat off u soon too.. maybe fit it (or try to) before buying a passenger seat in case its too wide or something

Does it have a trailer plug? If so check the plug and wiring. More than likely melted on the exhaust pipe and shorted the 2 circuits together. If not, then check the earth for the left hand tail light.

Yeah it does have a trailer plug, and at times it has fallen off and dragged on the ground... didn't even think of that, its got to be the most obvious culprit, thanks

HAHA.
Ok, that was obvious. Either some stooge has stolen my trailer plug, or it fell off. The bare wires were just chilling touching each other.

i literally tripped over the old plug when walking out to put the new plug on, so i guess that solves that mystery
why it decided to randomly fall off on the driveway though, remains a mystery
