questions about HP for 3sgte st185

Hi..,
Anybody out there who knows about 3sgte st185 engine. I hv this engine basically still standard, except ceramic coated piston, 540cc injectors, haltech e6x, 1.5mm stainless steel head gasket, st205 oem camshaft, the w58 gearbox, 3inch muffler straight pipe and after market 3" air filter.

If i want to push up the HP up to 300 at the rear wheel, is there anything else I should do. Basically I want to be my setting as standard as possible. I just want to go for mild mods.

From what you said it doesn't seem like it still standard at all to me. Some decent mods you got there, I have no idea how you manage to but doesn't look like stardard to me.

Anyway, from what you said, I take it that is a ST185 GT4 with RWD conversion?? I've never seen one before really. Another crazy mod??

If you already have those mods then its very easy .. put a bigger turbo in and hope for the best coz I'll be crying if after all those mods and I still don't hit 300hp

I think 300hp at the wheels with those mods, set up correctly, shouldn't be a difficult undertaking. A standard Gen II 3SGTE has what, 210hp or so stock?

will the ct20 support that? from memory the st185 ct20 turbo would have to be pushing pretty hard to get to 400hp at the engine, youd make the power easier with a more efficient turbo(the wta cooler would be in a bit of trouble by then too). the rest of the set-up sounds like it would handle it fine though

Thanks for the reply. I really never do any much mods. Basically I never touch the internals.

Btw, could you tell me what's the best settings for Haltech E6X ?? There's nobody here in Indonesia who could really set this thing ? If you could help me find the best settings, I do not mind paying you.

all that is to say, if a Gen II is 215hp 300 at the wheels with all your mods is pretty reasonable I think

if you read abobe, there's somebody saying that even with the stock turbo, I should be able to make it to 400HP. Is that true ??

No way you need 400hp flywheel to see 300hp at the wheels???

At those sort of hp levels a 15% drivetrain loss for RWD is reasonable. 350hp flywheel is doable with the CT20B.

What is your current turbo? unlikely a CT26 in RWD form but still could be?

The rest of your setup will take 300rwhp easy so a decnt turbo is the key

Thanks for the tips. Then I'd just go for CT20B turbo. My target is just 300HP at the wheel.
The road condition here in Indonesia is very bad.
