Have you removed all the bolts holding the dash facier to its frame?
Have you removed all the screws which attach the control cables onto the side of the heater/blower motor?
Have you removed all the heater control cable ends from the control levers on the heater/blower motor?
If you have got all these removed then the best option is to reach under the dash and push up and side to side "gently" on the underside of the frame which locates the heater controls to the facier. Be carefull as it does not take much to break the heater control frame location points on the dash facier.
I have found that this heater control frame often fouls the edge of the dash facier frame and no amount of pulling will free it.
Hope this works for you.
I have also found that dropping the steering column leaves a lot more room to play around with the back of the dash facier.

and yes people I did manage to get it out in one piece eventually. Not too happy with the work that the last person did to it though! And I really dont even know where to start with my problems now that I have it out! I am still no closer in solving why I have power on my fuse board for the gauges, but they dont work
