Rn41 Gearbox Options With 1ggte

need to know first off what gearbox a 85 hilux uses, as i have heard that it will bolt into the car and to the motor with a 1g bellhousing. also a friend has a 1g-gte gearbox i think its out of a z20 soarer... just wondering if anyone would know if it would bolt in the same??

all this is going in a 2wd aswell. the car atm has a 4 speed column shift. also worried about tailshaft length and where it will bolt to the car.

is a g52 box ok for this sort of power and if so will it bolt in?

i got a mate that has a standard 1ggte gearbox that came from a z20 soarer.. i couldn't find out what model box it was.. does anyone know what model they used?? manual of coarse. thanks

W58 (or at least 55 or 57). I have one in my Sprinter. It looks indentical in the body to the G52 in my folks van.

I would say it will all fit together, though I have never tried myself.

The box will handle the power fine as long as it isn't already on its last legs.
