    Default 1ggte setting cam timing

    Howdy happy toymodders,
In the midst of changing the timing belt on my soarer after it snapped a couple of teeth off, and im not sure how to set the cam timing. I see the marks(dots) on the cam sprockets, im assuming I set them both so the mark is vertical with cylinder 1 at TDC? any input appreciated, thanking you muchly!

    set crank to TDC

set cams to the lines on the backing plate

rotate and if it is one tooth out you did it wrong

1st make sure the mark on the timing pulley is actually at TDC.

2nd Use the TSRM for detailed description.

release the tensioner pulley and install new belt.

    Retension the tensioner.

Rotate the crank at least twice to bring the cam points back up to check they line up with the lineup points - if it is one tooth out you did it wrong
    Added for you.
