if you are buying off the shelv get a set that are specified for the 20 valve.
otherwise measure yours???????
Hi
just a quick question for an answer that i couldn't find.
What size trumpet will fit on a 20v including the bolt spacing?
I just need to buy a set but dont know what size will work
thanks
(Can anybody recomend me a set)

You dont have a ruler?
Do you know what length you want them to be?
It should be the first thing to work out as it determines where peak power occours.

not really looking at it in terms of power and stuff. i just need them to fit onto the bolt pattern on the ITB.
for example there is a set that is right for me and its measurements are 45mm x 62mm long i know that 45mm is the correct diameter size. it also says will fit "Weber DCOE, Delorto, and Solex carbs".... could it fit a 20v? Im worried it might not bolt onto the throttle body
(btw bolt holes i measured are approx 75mm apart)
????????????????????????????????????
has anyone bought a set and can help?
i got a set of trumpets on my 20v silver top from rare spares at beverly hills. i think they were designed for some sort of su carbie but fit perfectlyy on the 20v. they also just clear the brake booster in an ae86
So sorry for this stupid question.... but then why do you want them?Originally Posted by Wanabe_Garage
The whole reason for having ITBs is so you can do proper tuning of the intake length.

I just bought a set from Techno Toy Tuning, and they look real nice, I think they make em for both silvertop and blacktop (which have different spacing btw)Originally Posted by Wanabe_Garage
Even including the overseas postage, the total cost was under 300 which is less than the cost of getting some custom made.
I don't know how good they'll be power-wise though, since apparently longer is generally better(especially for low-end) and the ones I've got aren't really that long.
becuase my stock trumpets dont fit as the brake booster is in the wayOriginally Posted by MWP

And yet still tons more than Meridian Motorsport will charge for a set of billet alloy units which are already here in Australia....Originally Posted by adamaw11

Meridian Motorsport, hmm yeah I think they were the ones that replied to my email about three weeks after I contacted them, by which time I had already ordered mine from T3.
and he quoted me $72 each. 4*72 = $288 all up, which isn't a bad price at all if they are correct size and bolt straight on.
ordering from T3 including postage from US, conversion to aud was $279
Still if I had found more info about the meridian motorsport ones earlier, and thought they were good or better I probably would have got them.
Last set i got from Toby were $45 each... i think.
