    Default 2jz 1.4kw Starter Motor

Hey folks, looking for a starter motor for a TT 2jz, i've been told to look at buying a Denso item from a third party as opposed to toyota (who want $700+ for one)

So! I'm after a 1.4kw starter motor, can anyone provide me a part number so i can try and source a denso one from a third party - alternatively, does anyone know where i can buy one? The JZ starters die quite often, so a new one seems like a good option.

Anyway, if anyone can answer my questions or point me in the right direction, that would be fantastic.

    Thanks

Just use an overhaul kit on them and it will work again.

The copper contacts just wear out quicker than others.

    Fair enough!

btw, 7MGE starters fit and are very common.

I swapped my 7m starter for a 1jz starter. 1JZ starters have more torque/balls than a 7m. 7m starter should bolt in but you will have to change the wiring because of different plugs.
