Wiring TPS into Haltech

Hopefully an easy question, my Haltech E8 has three wires for the TPS, Sensor Ground, TPS signal and +5V power. My TPS (luckily) has three plugs PSW, TL and IDL. Which wires need to be connected to which plugs?

My assumption is:
Sensor Ground --> IDL
TPS signal --> TL
+5V power --> PSW

Am I correct?

Are you sure you only have 3 pins?
And if so are you sure that IDL is one of them?

Normally the 3rd pin is E (earth), and IDL is a 4th pin (and not used in most aftermarket applications)

From all my wiring diagram research it seems there is an IDL wire and no ground wire, but will double check when I get home tonight.

Dood, are you sure your TPS is even a variable type?

PSW/IDL/TL are normally associated with the switch type of TPS.

Knowing my luck so far I would say it's not variable

Something of that age is highly likely to be a switch TPS.

You need to upgrade/adapt a variable one.

Hmmm, According to the old forums a 4AGE TPS will work with the 2TGEU and is variable. Can anyone provide more information as to the complexity of this conversion?

Best option is to take a photo of the mating side of your TPS and post it, along with the bolt spacing dimensions (and the direction it opens)

Someone should be able to check theirs to see what will fit.
