funnily enough, there was an article linked on toymods (old forums) called something like
"how to put a 20V into a corolla correctly" or similar.
i was wondering if anyone has experience in fitting a 4age20v into a ke20 rolla.
i am currently building this car for under 1600cc improved production hilclimbs, so street legality is no barrier.
i have seen this conversion done before, and i am very familliar with the 4age varients as i am actually a toyota technician.
i have all the engine mounts and gearbox from a AE71 rolla, and have aceess to a engine and gerabox crossmember if needed also.
any help would be much appreciated,

think that was actually in a celica,
done that conversion already, a 16v but ,
pretty straight forward really.
any info dosent really need to be on 20v specifically, just 4age in genreral. (engine crossmember, trasmission cross menber ect.)
most of the cooling system issues are covered in other articles on this site.
but i have heard of people needing to move master cylinders to clear 20v engines in small engine bays such as ke10, not shure if that applys to ke20 or not.
the problem i would guess is that with the throttles being slightly down draught, (ie they point up) they wont go "under" the booster, number 4 will have to be infront. this limits how far back you can mount your engine.
if its a race car maybe run it booster-less? might give you enough space.
there is 1 that has a 20 v in a ke25 rolla and he uses the std ecu as well the booster is still there and all he has done was use longer ram tubes and sock filters with std ae86 exhaust manifolds and secondary pipes
Yeah, from memory cylinder 4 will stick out slightly above the brake master, Its a bit of a squish to get the filter on, but with sock filters its pretty ok.
