    Hi Guys,

I don't know a lot about diffs, I have a jza80 with a01a and w58 gearbox just wondering what would be the best option to fit an LSD?

if I put in a diff with a ratio such as 3.7:1 compared to the standard 4.08:1 what would the side effects be?

lol ok. i thought it would be really un-responsive with a lower diff ratio is that right?

I will wait till I can find a 4.08 lsd.

a 3.7 in an n/a Supra will be a complete slug, so 4.08 is the way to go

(actually, the US-spec 4.27 would be the way to go, but thats another story)

i have a soarer diff mate it needs a rebuild but would suit welding

or use it to have a aftermarket centre put in it so your car doesnt have to be off the road for too long

If its a 3.77 its probably out of a auto TT and the axles etc are different (larger than n/a).

Interesting, are you able to elaborate on that for us? The auto would've had an A-series diff?

Sorry for the late reply, when I got email notification I was busy and thought i'll reply later but forgot.

I know it was not direct bolt in
The N/A axles are different (thinner) than the TT axles.

    I'll clear it up.

The N/A axles (although thinner) are ok to bolt on the TT auto diff but the N/A tailshaft is different.

The length is the correct but the flanges on the diff(s) are slightly different so they won't bolt up.
You need to use the Auto TT tailshaft as well.
