i have an ae71 paddock basher.

lock the diff it is one of the best handling mods you can make and its better for the drifting.

chop the springs. might not be comfortable but does hav a lower center of gravity.

i hav a cheap pod filter. dont know weather it does anything but it has a nice induction noise.

spray carby cleaner down the carby.

spray pod filter (if you get one) with alot start ya bastard, it contains ether so willbe sucking in ether fumes with the air.

    clean up the plugs.

loosen the dizzy and turn until you hit peak revs. (probably wont last to long in the configuration but will go alot better, especially if out of tune)

exhaust off at half way (debateable weather this makes a diference)

and thats pretty much it for now. if i think of anything else ill post it up.

    Cheers

    ^^^^ LOL

cut out firewall & half of tunnel to mid mount.

Got a VN donor car sitting at home. Bottom end has a knock, but the gearbox is perfect.
Already stripping bits out of the interior to bring the VP upto scratch.

Registered for another 2 weeks too.
doubt it would drive all the way to Vic tho

Just stay away from the mazdas.

we went through 3 929's and a 626, although the 323 we had did last a fair bit longer.

    Diesel peugot!?

Where do you find these paddy bashers?

I need a new one since my last was towed away when I was busy and didn't have time to get it started and off the road.

Anyway, can you get and old starlet for $500?

V-Na just search ebay, wreckers and car forums. i came across this on rollaclub.

its very rusted out and would only be good as a paddock bash/ parts car.

we have gotten our hands on some tubular steel and some square steel. so im going to strengthen some parts of the car by making a little role cage. (yes, i can weld decently)

then im going to chop out a few things... maybe the rood depending on time.

diff will be welded and the springs will be cut, more then likely just the rears.

interior will be striped out including the dash. all that will be left will be the seat and steering column, pedals and few other things. also will be wiring in a monster tacho just to keep an eye on the revs.

can anyone tell me where the fuel tank is located in the corolla?

between various cousins and me, we have bushbashed well over 200 cars over the last 15 or so years.

    best were:
    early datto sedan (1200, 120y, 180b, 200b)
early mazdas, (1300s, 808s, capellas, 323 rwd and fwd)
    rwd geminis.

    worst were:

    sigmas
    celicas (ra28 )
    corollas
    coronas (rt104)
    various holdens

basically, anything with an 18r, K, red 6 or astron, stay away from.

cheapest place to buy cars from is the abandoned vehicle auctions at your firendly local council, or do a deal with a wrecker.
