    Default Turbo with Solex? 2TG

Hi Was wondering the logistics of turboing a 2TG with twin solex rather than efi?
People done it? Hard to tune? Does it run ok through the rev range?

This will probably be a daily driver so not really needed above 6K rpm most likely! Unless traffic parts for me?

    Cheers

P.S. the turbo setup I am looking at is the one that GodLovesUgly is selling.
Any help would be much appreciated.

as long as the carbies have been modified to pressurise the fuel bowls, and not leak air or fuel, then they can work, but it is difficult to get good tuning across an even greater range of conditions than originally designed for (which they only did an ok job of anyway)

you would be soooo much better off getting that (cheap) EFI manifold and chucking a megasquirt onto it, with the turbo gear.... life will be much easier. tuning done by keystrokes.

I've seen a guy running an 18RG turboed on stock twin carbs. It worked... just. He got about 40km from a 40litre tank during a drift day, and made no more power than my 4AGZE.

I tend to concur with OC, it'll be easier and better in the long run to get some EFI on there. Especially if it's a daily driver, if it were a paddy basher that's another story...

and dun forget about the ignition control part of the setup, more money spent remapping our dizzy to retard when on boost. i've a megasquirt running my 2tg hybrid with a sc on the side it's controlling fuel and ignition. i can run on different sets of mapping with and wihout the sc powered and this is my daily drive as well.

Turbos + carbies = tearing hair out.
Save yourself a lot of time, grief, and money in the long term by using EFI.
Get a good affordable ECU such as the Adaptronic.
