It's a W50. I used tohave one with that shifter position, I think it was out of an RA40.

Now it looks like a W50 box, its got the same shape and everything..... but the selector housing looks quite different to the one on my W50 in my RA28 - it's got a rearward position selector!
Is this just from another car, or is this not a W50?? I'm rather confused![]()

anyone care to explain the smooth/ridged bellhousing phenomina?
hello
All the W50s I own have that gearshifter position.
It could also be a P51.
P51's dont have the "ridgeback" though Dr Dave
All my W50s also have had the smooth bellhousing too....
...... butt scratcher?!
I had a W50 from a Crown, NFI on model, rear shift position and smooth bellhousing.

Yup - looks just like my W50 - ideal for hiding behind a V6 (as inspired by gianttomato)
id choose a W55/58 to go behind a V6 over the crusty ol' W50.
and there is no reason why it cant happen with the readily available 22/1R(E) -> W55 bellhousings from the RT142's and RA60/65
hello
