I had the same problem when installing my 2TGEU. I found out it was because I hadn't run a power wire to the ballast resistor for the injectors. As a result the engine would start on the cold start injector but then the engine would die after a few seconds. Check you ballast resistor and the wiring to it.

My settup does not use ballast resistors, or cold start injector. thanks anyway.
Anyway successfull results in, drove the car up and down the driveway today, after modifying the camira loom and placing the sensors etc... started first turn of the key.
Just got to play around with the airflow meter now to get fuel mixture right.
    big smiles on my face

oops just read the final post glad to hear she's a goer. Also when you get the AFM setup could you post the settings? I'm still not 100% sure I've done mine right, and since she's now been stroked and rebuild the last thing I want to do is blow her up

unless you already have a wideband sensor - using the stock O2 sensor will simply tell youwhether it is: lean, passing-thru-stoich or rich. It is a narrow-band sensor that;s only used by the ECU at warm idle or cruise.

if you want to tune for AFRs, you will need a wideband sensor and controller (e.g. a techedge or Innovate or PLX unit).

The JD Camira setup doesnt have an o2 sensor
Im just getting the jaycar kit to make a servicing tool
Apparently i can "to a degree" adjust the afm spring tension on this to make slight adjustments to the mixture. not precise, not rocket science but will work.

The Camira ECU is a jetronic (older analog style) no engine diagnostics or precise tuning by PC or laptop, just good ol tune by feel.
