TA22 Wiring Harness (problem) Difference

Hi guys, My name is Raj and I'm from Malaysia. When I was in Australia few years back I bought complete wiring harness for my Celica TA22 LT. Now I just finished restoring my bodywork and wanted to replace my original wiring harness with the one I bought from Australia. I have bumped into a problem now, my original wiring harness connectors and the connectors on the wiring harness I bought from Australia doesn't match. The connectors on the gauge clusters matches though, but not the connectors for the fuse box/holder. I have include the picture of both the different connectors.

I would like to kindly request your assistance if you guys can confirm with me that all your Celica TA22 had the Aussie wiring or maybe some of you guys had the wiring like my original. The first picture is my original wiring harness Fuse Box/Holder connectors, and the second one is the Fuse Box/Holder connectors from the Australian wiring harness.

The difference as you guys can see the white connector on my original harness has more pins and wires and is longer than the connector I got from Aussie, then looking at the green connectors, mine has less wires, different color code and wires going to different pins compared to the Australian ones and the same goes to the black connectors. The seller didn't give me the fuse box/holder, and I overlooked it, only noticing it now after four years.

I would to kindly request if any of you guys have spare Aussie version Fuse Box/Holder (that will match that Aussie wiring harness I have) that I can buy, or if you guys can help to source it in Australia for me. Thank You.

Probably not the right spot for a parts wanted thread but anyways.

You could always just re-pin it using your old plug. If you need some new pins I am more than happy to post some to you if you cannot get them locally (I bought a pack of 100). Over here you can also buy a plug packet that is like a 2, 3, 4, 6, 8, 10 pin plug with all the same pins as the celica uses - the plug would be of no use though.

You just stick a small needle sorta thingy in the front of the plug and it pushes a locking tab out of the way then the wire can be removed from the back. Before doing this just check the wires are the same...ie trace them, check colour, wiring diagram etc.

Hi LeeRoy, hi guys, I manage to find out the difference. The wiring differences are due to the different years. Early model celica TA22 (I'm not sure from what year to what year) like mine which has the petrol tank on the boot floor and rear filler neck in between the taillight, has the 10 glass fuse holder/box and different connectors, color codes for the wires. Meanwhile the later year celica TA22 has the 8 glass fuse holder/box, different connectors, and color code. I verififed this with my mechanic by going through the wiring diagram from my Celica Owners Workshop Manual which has the early celica TA22 wiring diagram, and the wiring diagram posted here in Toymod which is the later model celica TA22 wiring diagram. Apart from verifying with the wiring diagrams, I also verified with my friend's TA22 and TA27 and yes they had the 8 glass fuse hoder/box. If any of you guys have spare 8 fuse holder/box please PM me, I will also post it in wanted section.
