Default 1g-gte Stock Intercooler flow sufficient?

    Hi,

I'm considering getting a large front mount, but for a 1g with 2 Small CT12 turbo's, I'm trying to find out if it's really worth it. I wont be running anymore than 13 PSI and wont be upgrading to a big single.

On the flow bench, the stock intercooler flows 210 CFM.

What do guys recommend, is there any noticeable benefits to be had if I upgrade to a big front mount, or just keep the stock one.

    Thankyou.

It's not about flow. I bet a piece of pipe will flow better than that cooler, but won't cool the air down.

Logically, if the new front mount has more surface area than the current cooler, there should be some benefit.

    Hi Gavatron,

Yeah cooling is important too, I just would like to know if there is any noticeable benefit in spending $300 - $400 for a larger front mount, considering I'll only be running 13 PSI on stock turbo's because that's all they are good for.

Maybe some people who have boosted their 1g-gte's and then upgraded to a large front mount may know.

    Thanks.

standard supra coolers are decent standard coolers, but once you raise the boost they show their standardness

Are you serious? You want a cooler, delivered, for $129 dollars. And you think they are gonna ask you "Now sir, would ye prefer tube and fin, or bar and plate?"

Just buy one and stop making shit threads.
