A drag racers front wheel line lock?
I'm looking for a small, brake fluid compatable, pilot operated check valve/shuttle valve.
Does anybody know of a factory type or can think of a valve that could be modified to achieve the same result?

'I've scrapped better.' John stated when asked about the car by the guy with the silver tipped cowboy boots!
That has been thought of, but i'm trying to achieve a hydraulic parking brake that is independant of the main brakes and doesn't rely on any external power supply. I know it takes bugger all power, but I still want it to be battery free. I may still end uo using a electric shut off valve. A solenoid operated directional control valve (DCV) may also do the job.

If it is used in an automotive application, I dont think it will be considered roadworthy.
If you are planning to alter brakes in an aeronautical application (Pilot Operated).., I dont think CASA would be impressed either

Hydraulic handbrakes are not permitted unless you have both a hydraulic & mechanical handbrake. Some rally cars have both to be registerable.
Burkett sell all types of electric solenoid valves. Ask if they have a brake fluid compatible seal.
