    Default 1ggte turbo bush specs

I have a few sets of turbos that need rebuilding and ill be making the bushes, it's going to be heaps cheaper than buying the kit at $300 + per turbo, i have ordered the material to do it, i just want t know what the bush specs are?

I could measure the shaft and housing and basically guess in comparison to the worn ones, but would like to know the exact specs - does anyone have them or a new set of bushes they could measure for me -

if they work out well ill make about 10 sets or so and sell them at cost if there is enough interest, quite a bit lathe work to get these done too. Ill probably be able to get the seals cheap too, might be a complete rebuild for under a $100.

You need to get the oil clearance right, that's no guessing game.

I have just had my set of BLitz BAG CT12 rebuilt with 1JZ internals, so i will ask my turbo rebuilder for the specs as he has done tons of them in the past.

Rosie, interested in one set of these, still waiting on info ,
Last time I spoke to them about over hauling my turbos I was Quote $900 each they indicated they buy the parts from toyota so not sure if they will have the data you need.
I will give them a call on monday.

I spoke to Castle hill toyota and the can only supply me with external parts for the turbos, like gaskets and stuff, no internal parts.

The bearings i ordered arrived and were the wrong ones, so looks like i'm going to have to buy some round stock and machine them from scratch - will be cheaper but more time consuming.

The specs would be great to get this rolling, asap. I want more boost damn it. Stupid gen 1 hates anything above 14psi, so hopefully the set of gen 3's I have will giddyup a bit more.

Is the boost cut on the 1ggte's a latching condition ( probably should start another thread)
Once I hit the cut at about 14psi on my gen 1 she wont go over 4-5psi until i reset the ecu. Really embarrasing when u try and overtake someone and she just dies in the arse.

Not looking good for any specific detail on the bushes sizes etc but getting some pricing on the rebuild kits which contain the bushes, seals & thrust bearings. will let you know.

As for the boast cutout latching sound right I think the Gen1 stock boast is around 7 or 9PSI?? this sound like a safety feature as 5PSI above normal would be a problem.

We have some pneumatic ratio relays which you can use to scale the true pressure reading I will email you the data sheets.

    http://www.agdiesel.com.au/site/index.html
suppliers web site, full and part kits for the toyota CT Range

    Full kit ~ $380.00
    Basic kit ~$ 300.00

maybe ably to get 10% off list but still not cheap.

If we make the bushes will we be able to get the other bits ?
The picture to the right is a kit from china, which looks differant to the local kit ??
