    You get an AE101 oil pump, replace the AE111 oil pump with the AE101 item, then you can use the silvertop tensioner with spring and retaining bolt. It's FAR cheaper and easier to source a new AE111 hydraulic tensioner.

    To change the oil pump the sump has to come off, if you dont know what's involved to do that in a FWD corolla then changing the pump itself is likely to be in the too hard basket.

    I have been thru a few tensioners stripping down and reassembling my race engine quite a bit.

    I have found that they are a one use item.

    Fit it and pull the pin, if you take it off throw it away.
    You can push them and and re-insert the pin, but the few I have had have never had the corrext tension again afterward.

    in the end I had the tensioner converted so there is a threded rod through the centre and you can wind it thru and lock it in place,
    as I could not run a Silvertop pump as it in not compatable with the engine setup i have.
