Default Strange temp readings on Wolf3d handset?

Hi there, i have a wolf3d ver4 running my 3sgte. This may be a dumb question, but on the main screen on the handcontroller it has a temp reading. Im quite sure that it reads water temperature.

Now when im driving during the day it reads around 88-95 degrees. at 94-95d the thermos come on and they switch off once it drops to 90-91d. this seems pretty normal, BUT when im driving at night, its different. (Air intake temps at anywhere from 20-36degrees warmed up.)

Driving on cold night the temps reach upto 105degrees. normally float around 97-103d. but my intake temps at this stage are lower (because its colder)around 12-25d. i dont think the thermos are on at this stage.

Can anyone explain it too me? Is the car overheating?

Check the fuel enrichment for air temperature. Possibly your not getting enough fuel when its a cold night, and your engine is running hotter.

Although that doesn't explain why your thermo's arn't turning on.

    Default possibility

    Hi,

Check if this phenomena happens only when your headlights are on. I am wondering about a ground shift due to shitty wiring and/or connection when 10A+ of headlight current (you said night) is flowing through ground and slightly increasing the ground potential at the ECU and skewing your sensor readings....

    Cheers, Nick

Rich, how do i check what the fuel enrichment is? that wont tell me on the handcontroller will it?

Nick.parker - awesome suggestion. ive had a simular thing happen with my car. i use to hit boost cut when i was driving at night only. ended up being an illumination light connected to my boost sensor.boost cut happens at about 4.3v and the sensor was recieving 12v+ when i turned my headlights on! took ages to work out what the problem was!
