Why do i keep getting emails sent to me??

Hey

Everytime i post in a thread, anyone who then replies in that thread, an email is sent to me.

ive tried everything to turn it off but i cant

my inbox currently has 200 new emails

check which threads you are subscribed to in your CP.
uncheck them all

go into user Cp then options, it'll have a section of how you want to be notified for your subscribed threads, you'll have the option email whenever a post is made, you can change it to daily, weekly never etc

no worries I only managed to find it 2 weeks ago before that I was annoyed by my inbox being filled daily.

I had that problem on the old forums but I couldnt do select all and delete in the subscriptions section, I had to delete all 500, one at a time. Took me more than an hour.

this is true, but how do you subscribe but then not recieve emails, it has the option not to recieve emails, but i still do, as such i have over 600 emails. I'd like to stay subscribed for ease of keeping up, but the emails have gone nuts. Is it a fault or am i reading it all wrong?

in the same drop box for "default thread subscription mode" select "no email notification". you will still be subscribed to the thread but no longer recieve the emails. for the threads you have already subscribed to, got to
user cp -> list subscriptions
then check the box that selects all the threads in the list. then down the bottom of the page is a drop down menu labeled "Selected Threads:" choose no email notification from that menu.
