Mine Has King springs all round. Look like they are lowered too, Also had pedders struts, My guess is 2inchs lower than standard. What tyres do you guys normal run? I think it has 195 or 205 from memory, Not sure, Has anyone gone to a 215 or 225? Also is there a 15inch version of the rim the same as the stock MA61 ones?
Cheers Judd.

there are 15 inch soarer rims that look similar to MA61 rims, not sure what model they were on though.
i wonder if sprinter 13s would fit
and remmeber the 15" soarer rim is a 15x7, the MA61 rim is 14x7.
I used to run 235 rubber on my ma61, which looked phat but really was not ideal for handling - I'm with ed here, 225
The soarer rims are 15x6.Originally Posted by Draven

that's what I meant
Some later model A6 Supras came with the 15x6 rims too. Not Aus-delivered ones though.
Oh and 13" rims won't fit over the front brakes.

and it's illegal to go to smaller rims (iirc?)
Hey, some turkeys fit 275's on the stock rims. Sure, it looks tough in a bogan kind of way, but I don't like to think how sloppy it must feel!
i have the 15x6 rims on my GZ10 soarer. fairly sure thats what they came with stock. but yes only 205's are good on them

Well mine has 225/60R14 Yoko's on it. Seems to handle nicely, Only have had it kick onece in a 90degree corner doing 60 odd k's. But other than that the traction is nice, Wouldn't wanna go any larger and/or smaller. Worried about the rear negative camber, i suppose you get that when you lower a car, I love how it handles like that and looks FAT, but tyre weear will be an issue.
Cheers Judd.
my ma61 rims are the 14x7 with 205x60 which is the asolute minimum for those, 215x60 or 65 is normalOriginally Posted by ToranaJudd
i want to get a set of MA61 rims, then stick my 195/60R14s on them. drift stylz yo![]()
i wouldnt suggest you do that, 195 is too narrow for a 7" rim. 205 just fits. you'll blow the
tyres because the sidewalls are bulging out to fit the rim and the tread being narrower
means youll be driving partly on the sidewalls.
if you want the MA61 style rims with 195's get the rims without the +8 offset they are the 6"
version.
225/60/14 is the stock size..
i had 265's on mine and whilst looking cool, it handled like a shopping cart, the sidewall flex was quite sketchy cornering at 110+
