Default Cat converter: Distance from turbo

I'm in the process of designing a turbo system for my (non-toyota ) daily, it's of the modern design that has the cat very close to the headers, before the first join in the exhaust system. I'm going to use a 2.5inch hi-flow cat, but how close can I put this to the turbo exit?

A cat runs hotter than the exhaust gas temps you'll see from the turbo so you can run it as close as you want.

Cheers man, i wasn't sure if the extra temperature would take it past its operational limits.
