You could crimp spade lugs onto your wires and attach them to the terminals on the stock relays.
ok calling on experts. i have almost finished nutting out my wiring loom.
but i'm trying to hide all the wiring.
so i don't want the fusebox that come with the stock loom.
sooo my dilema is.. from what i can inferr is that the alt and the starter and injectors all run off of two relays linked?
if this is the case can someone please draw me a diagram of how i can go about getting differetn relays and wiring them together?

What car is it going into.
I just wired my blacktop into my AE86 and most of the loom I got from the car was made redundant.
Setup your own IG+ and your earths and integrate into the factory fuse box?
Need more info.

more what terra operative was saying.
i want to get rid of the bulky stock fusebox that comes with the loom.
i have pulled apart the fuse box in an attempt to understand where the wires go but the fuse box is three layered and i farkin confusing.
so i'm hoping someone knows how those relays work and draw me a diagram of some sort.
my car is a ke55. so it doesn't have much of a fuse box jst glass fuses. i am planning to remove this in favor of a blade fuse block.
would it be ok if i removed the relays all together for the alt and injectors.
well even better there are three relays.... does anyone know exactly what they are?
i think the smaller one is the ecu main relay but the other two appear to be linked together.
for cutting the loom etc i've remove all the unnecesary crap just fine just this part has me f#$ked!
all you need for the 20v is the stuff that comes out of the ECU, have a look at phil bradshaws page for the pinouts.
all you need to do is integrate the IG+, the start and the ACC for the ecu and injectors (should be black/orange wire IIRC)
edit: also add a relay for the new stuff eg ecu injectors, and add an inline fuse if you cant add one on your old fuse panel
i know what i need,
the main fuse box on the wiring loom that you get with the 20v loom. there are three relays. my box didn't come with a cover so i don't know and the fuse box is three layered and very confusing.
Throw the fuse box that came with engine in the bin would be the easiest thing...
And setup your own fuses / relays, either stand alone, or in a simpler box. (Which sounds like what you want to do).
What I would do is unplug all the plugs on the engine loom. This will leave you with a few plugs that goto the fuse box, and a few plugs inside near the ECU.
You can prbly find the pinouts of the plugs, and then just connect the required wires...
And if you can't find the pinouts of the plugs you can trace them back from the ECU, coil etc using a multimeter

Exactly what im getting at. The only reason you need to do it the way you are insisting on is if you are putting it back into an AE111 in which case you wouldn't need to change anything. Do it as mentioned above. I have the lid from one of said fuseboxes however.Originally Posted by wilbo666

Rallystanza can you pleas take a pic of it for me?
yeah ok we got what i want to do but i'm a dumbass when it comes to relays can someone give me a phone number or an msn or something??
Yeah No probs, I will get into the shed tonight and grab some pics for you.

pics?? please!!
Been busy working stupid hours, last thing on my mind is this!! Have you tried a google search yet either? My pics will come on the weekend.

wowo way different from a silvertop one.
bugger.
oh well i seem to have everything sorted. i'm running everything that needs power into a relay.
running the main power wires from alt into the battery.
i've figured which wire to give constant power to the memory of the ecu. etc.
the STA wire? where should that go? does it also act as a trigger for a starter relay in conjunction with the ignition signal?
