KE30 4K Vibration

G'day,
My 75 KE30 has a mild 4K in it and when you start it, you give it a bit of gas, probably about 1-2000 rpm and it just vibrates the whole car? Sorta like on off vibration. It sort of stops when it gets warm but just recently noticed it? It doesn't make any loud rattle noises so i don't think its a big end gone.

Any idea's what this could be?

It also gets driven around paddocks to water plants so i was thinking could the engine mount be broken or something?

most likely engine mount, it should have a little bit of movment (the engine) but not much, try moving it with ur hand if u can move it a fair bit prolly means there fucked, check there done up properly the might have jsut come loose.

Thanks for the reply Dom, Yeah well the roads out there are pretty bumpy so I'll check that, as you said might have just been the nut on It come loose,

exactly what i would have suggested. i would also check the gearbox mount aswell. i had the same issue once and thats what it ended up being

if its either the g/b or engine mounts they are very simple to replace in these cars

when was the last time it got new plugs and leads?
i suggest it might be poor ignition, or your carb idle circuit/progression is not happy.

sounds like its not running properly and seriously unbalancing the engine.

should have felt the vibration when i threw a pushrod in my 4k and cylinder 3 was stuck shut causing vacuum on the intake stroke.
id do your entire ignition system from points to plugs and everything in between and see how she goes

stops when warm = either carby is warm, or leads/coil/ignition bits are warm and have lost their moisture..

my brothers KE10 had original 35 year old leads that would do this!

silicon leads do it much sooner

Well checked it out this weekend and its got a bit of the fan missing, to my memory I think a battery rolled into it , and It's missing a fin, that's what's causing the vibration isn't it?.

thats entirely possible
swap the fan and see what happens
