1. gcc and vpc can be run separately so you dont need one or the other to run the car. Setup the vpc and should only be one plug from the gcc to the vpc. so only 1 temp sensor and 1 pressure sensor. the small probe is to tap into the inlet manifold or as close to it as you can get it.
2. yes it gets rid of the afm but you need one wire for fuel from the afm wiring
3. yes you can change the fuel mixtures are the certain rpms it has displayed. safe setting it what it says when you get it on a dyno and get it tuned dont do it yourself ive left mine on normal until i get it on a dyno.
4. 1st is for fuel on throttle responce, 2nd 5% increase over the rpm range, 3rd is fuel on idle, 4th is for tuning with external computer eg gcc and fcon. i believe its only for the f-con but could be wrong.
5. my gen2 has no resistors and runs fine. cant give you any better info on this.
if you get some better pics i can tell you were some wires go as i have a gcc and vpc in my gen2 supra put all mine is hard wired. if you need any help just let us know
