    Default XT130 engine conversion

Howdi all i have a 1981 xt130 corona sedan and at the moment it has a 1.9L Holden Starfire engine in it(hunk of junk). Can anyone recommend another engine to drop in it even though i think it might be a big job with engine mounts etc but anything has got to be better than this holden junk.

    Cheers

i heard you get the rt132 crossmember bolt that in (from the XX model), and you can run your p00 18rcs and the like lol, i can vouch for the p00 starfire i had a wagon, paid nothing for it, did 1 good burnout in it and stripped 5 or 6 teeth off the cam gear, biggest pos eva made.

Holden red six bolts in if you move the radiator forward.

Yes i've heard of some people doing this for the lols. It's fun when you can't turn corners.

Currently in the early stages of an 18R-G conversion for my Xt130. It's not too hard, still nutting out a few fine points.

All 18R powered Celicas,Hiace, 2 and 4WD Hilux,RT 132 Corona run mid sumps. All XT 130 including XX from 79-81 are the same crossmember but from 82-83 XX ran 21RC so Crossmember may be different but not sure. All early XX had Starfires in them.
    Cheers Brett.
