yeah I believe its coming somewhere around rear right wheel and nah havnt hit anything I had to put in new Bearing on that side when i replaced the axle assembly
How long ago did you replace the axle assembly and was the squealing only apparent right after the change?
Or was it fine for a while with the new axle/bearing etc etc then started squealing later on?
The only wheel squealing I've had personally was an ill-fitted wheel bearing.
(or so I was told)
Did the symptom start almost immediately after the bearing replacement?Originally Posted by eastcoastdrifter
So it will never squeal if it doesn't go over 80, and will always squeal at any lower speed after going over 80 if the car is never stopped, no matter what acceleration, braking, turning or hand-brake use it's subjected to?

'I've scrapped better.' John stated when asked about the car by the guy with the silver tipped cowboy boots!
is this a fan belt type of squealing?
- ma61 + 2jz-gte + v160 + 3.5 torsen
constant noise or intermitted?
what rpm does the noise start?
does the noise go away when you depress the clutch at or over 80km?

I've seen some drifters get rocks caught between the rotor & dust guard, made a nice high pitch squeal.![]()
If in doubt power out
it could be a worn/loose belt, go get some belt dressing spray from repco/supercheap and spray all the belts in the bay lightly and go for a spin see if you still get the noise
